Thanks for having me along! When I arrived at the meeting place, I was a little intimidated by the incredible rigs that were gathered. However, it took only minutes before the warm welcome made me feel like I belonged. The group is awesome, and I will recommend anyone wanting an "inside look" at the trails of Moab to hook up with y'all! The adventure on Sunday went way beyond expectations.

Thanks again for allowing me to tag along!

morning, melissa. picked up the web-site from the Wells book about 4WD trails in Moab. My wife Barb and I are coming to Moab to drive some of the green and blue trails referred to in the book, but 1) since we live in Bremerton, WA., 2) are conservative (but very active) 70+ yr olds, and 3) don't want a "guide", but don't want to go alone, I'm trying to find some folks who might be interested in some day trips during the period 1 - 7 June 2012. I'll be driving a '05 4L TJ with some engine enhancements, no suspension mods, and a winch. we'll be staying at the Spanish Trail RV park. Since my Jeeping in rocks experience is zero (except for years ago when I was going to school in SLC) and this will be first time for Moab rocks (there 2 years ago for hiking), seems appropriate to try and hook up, and do the green / blue trails difficulty. we're dune goons (3.2 L Honda powered, self built dune buggy and enhanced Yamaha Raptor) and therefore understand the necessity of associating with somebody who knows.... So, if you or some of your associates are interested some quiet exploring, I'd be obliged to hear from you.
thanks much. barb and dave s. 360 692-3445

I do not have GPS routes but the club has recently marked at least one of the entrances into Where Eagles Dare very clearly. Where Eagles Dare can be accessed through 3 entrances/exits off the Golden Spike route that connects Poison Spider with Gold Bar Rim. If you are running from PS towards Gold Bar, in the traditional direction of the trail, you will find the first entrance quite near the base of what's called Skyline Drive. As you drop down towards the wash, you'll see a track to your left, that's it. The second entrance is after 'Zuki Hill as you ascend out of the wash. Look for another dirt track on you left with some white paint dashes. The last entrance is again, on your left before you climb up to the ridge line. There is a large rock on your left hand side that has the word WED, standing for Where Eagles Dare not Wednesday. On any of these entrances, we have white dashes that outline the route. You'll want to journey to look over on Corona Arch as well as tackle some of the gigantic slickrock domes that give the trail its name. If anyone reads this comment and has the GPS route, please send it my way and I will forward it to Monica. Good luck and have fun out there!

Hunter Canyon for a Jeeping route runs between the Pritchett Arch route where Pritchett Canyon Jeep trail ends and becomes county road out to 191 and basically ends at the base of White Knuckle Hill on the Behind the Rocks Jeep trail. Most run this trail as a fun connector between Pritchett and Behind the Rocks. Once you finish Pritchett the traditional way (going up canyon from Kane Creek), you descend towards Pritchett Arch and the long bumpy county road that eventually leads you to 191. At approximately 5.5 miles (from the start of Pritchett), you will come to a road leading to the left that is signed Hunter Canyon. It is fairly well marked. You will end the trail very near the base of White Knuckle hill on the Behind the Rocks trail and can either follow the lower trail out to the county road or go up White Knuckle and follow part of the trail backwards to the county road. Hope this helps....
